CCTV Focus attended the UK’s Biggest Security Event at the NEC

The CCTV Focus team had the opportunity to attend the biggest security event in the United Kingdom, last Tuesday.

Hosted at the NEC Birmingham, the event has caught the attention of professional security installers, system integrators, consultants and end-users from across the country.

The exhibition, which ran between the 7-9th September this year, is designed by industry experts and showcased the world’s leading security brands and innovative technologies.

Over 150 tech giants attended the event including, cloud-based video analytic firm Calipsa and advanced technology provider Dycon. Every year, the trade show focuses on five major industry sectors including cybersecurity, health and safety, fire safety, and surveillance systems.

The security exhibition was launched in April 2019 by popular demand and quickly earned the title as the new premier security event in the UK for commercial, enterprise, domestic and security markets.

What happened this year?

After a year-long hiatus, industry experts and the firms they represent were excited to make a comeback. Sentar Corporation, like many companies, expressed their excitement towards attending a physical event. The firm said: “It's been great being back in action and in person!”

Dycon used the Security Event as the perfect opportunity to launch its new housing range.

The new product launch features installer-friendly and larger XLB and XLBD systems, which both have unique features that make installation efficient and easy.

Technology manufacturer Toshiba showcased their latest surveillance, NAS, and Enterprise Capacity hard drives and highlighted examples of the best-fit solutions.

Electric and mechanical solutions-based firm, Access2 added a new product to their portfolio called TOKOZ ePro. The stall focused on an innovative mechatronic cylinder that is managed by your smartphone.

Many people were excited to see the Police cadets from West Midlands and Warwickshire attend the event and picked up key insights from the security industry.
